For shoots that will be used in advertisements, I try to frame my shots to the most engaging aspect of the model or the subject.
Advertisements must grab the attention of the viewer, regardless of the medium it will have. The thing with advertisements is that it will always have a certain spark which will attract attention to it. Advertisements are created this way to serve its purpose of generating interest among consumers regarding a certain product they are offering. Having people stay or get curious with what certain companies produce is an indication of a successful attention-grabbing ad.
Veteran photographers should work with the creative team overseeing the photo shoot so that the team can get a grasp of the photographer’s skills. For the photographer’s part, he can easily make suggestions as to how to go about certain parts of the project, recommending the best ways to execute storyboards. Continuous consultations with the creative team allow the photographer to help the team sort out aspects of the project that is feasible or impossible to do. In this way, the photographer can suggest to the creative team some of the best ways for models to portray the role of the subject by reading the script and participating in brainstorming sessions.
As you browse the different shoots I’ve done for advertisements, take note of the ones you really like. We can discuss what you want to do with the product and plan ahead on the best course of action to take with regard to the advertisement.
I believe that by working together, we can do something great for your requirement. Like what I’ve mentioned in my page, I’ve spent time with different people responsible for a lot of production work so I’m sure that if you need an extra hand in creating your ad, let me know and I’ll get someone you can depend.
